$1000 - Charlie Rogerson

Prize Winner - February 11, 2014

I spend a lot of my free time volunteering for a local animal sanctuary, so I've always had a lot of passion for charitable causes, and when I first heard about Charity Engine I thought it was a fantastic way to make a meaningful contribution to good causes while using minimal resources that otherwise just go unused. As long as my PC is on, Charity Engine will be too.

$1000 - Joël Provost

Prize Winner - November 26, 2013

I am at college studying biology and chemistry, and was already taking part in some Boinc projects before I heard of Charity Engine. I then decided that giving my computer time to help some scientific projects and giving some money to charities was the right thing to do.

I think that the prize draw is an excellent incentive to push people to participate. I have also told some of my friends about Charity Engine and got them involved. I will probably keep the money until I need to change my computer - and I will put the new one to work for CE too!
