I have noticed for some time that my Daily average from the My Stats page always stays at 0. There is at least a minimal amount of activity most days and some pretty large spikes so I would expect it should show something in the average points.

Thanks for catching this -- it should now be fixed.

There isn't a fix necessarily, as this can be something you just see in the log from time to time. Is your computer unable to get work or attach to projects so far? If it is connecting ok, maybe just wait a day or two, it might be working normally.

Hi,

My stats page always posts 0, however the charity engine desktop indicates more then 50000.

How can i fix that?

We can look into this. Can you tell me which projects you see attached to Charity Engine Desktop that have earned points?

Among projects : Citizen Science Grid, Climateprediction, PrimeGird, Asteroids@home and others.

Thanks.

Ok, thanks for the info. The reason you are seeing 0 points on your account is becaus project credits only count toward the jackpot if the projects are managed by Charity Engine. That is, your desktop software has to be connected to Charity Engine as the account manager and only the projects attached by those means will be included in the jackpot drawing.

You can manually attach to additional projects, but those credits are not included in the drawing.

All the projects were added by the "Tools - Add project" onglet and then they were suucessfully synchronized with charity engine.

would this methode be false?

Sorry for the inconvenience.

That is the familiar method, if you have used BOINC in the past, and you can continue to use this method support any research project. To earn points in Charity Engine, though, you have to keep your desktop software attached to the Charity Engine account manager and let it attach projects for you.

You may still be attached, but if you attach a project with a different BOINC account that you have, then Charity Engine will be blocked from attaching that project using the account that it has for you. This is a bit messy, but plays a big part in preventing cheating in the prize drawings and allowing Charity Engine to manage project attachments in order to best meet charitable goals.

Sorry for the confusion around project attachments and points. Hopefully you can come up with a way to attach to the projects you want and for Charity Engine to attach you to others to earn points for the drawing, too.

(Note: If you attached Rosetta manually, you can probably detach that one and synchronize with Charity Engine and it will automatically attach you to it again using a different account so that the points count.)
