Just installed CE on a new machine, restarted, and fired up the desktop... no projects start, the message "Inconsistent signing key from account manager" is in the log. What can I do to fix this?
Just curious, Juila -- had you previously installed BOINC or an older version of Charity Engine on that computer? Also, was it a Mac or PC? (*Glad you got it sorted; and thanks Darkknight for the help...)
One other question, Julia -- can you check in your desktop software, to see what projects are listed? (In your dektop software, click "advanced view" and post back with whatever is listed under the "Projects" tab...)
Just for information i got the same problem a week ago on my desktop just after starting boinc it told me that. Nothing changed since last run. Thought something on the serverside changed maybe.
DarkKnight, what projects are listed as active in your desktop app? (*I recall from discussions elsewhere that you were a BOINC user before joining CE; and maybe installed/uninstalled various versions of CE and/or BOINC?)
{1} When you look at the above-listed projects in your desktop app, can you tell me the "account" listed for each, when viewed in your app "Projects" tab? (*Are any listed twice, with different accounts?)
{2} "These are on my list but to get no further tasks" -- Any idea when these stopped getting tasks?
Charityengine and rosetta@home got my ce account stated there.
Einstein@home and malariacontrol.net got an empty account field although these projects alreay generated points for me. I think this was a problem when charityengine started and created these accounts, maybe something went wrong there but it works atleast.
No every project ist there just once.
For clarifing i told these projects to ge no more work, so just the upper 4 projects are real "active".

Reattaching the account manager (charityengine.com) solved this problem for me.
Sorted now, thanks!

Projects:
Charity Engine
rosetta@home
OProject@Home
WUProp@Home
are marked fo getting new tasks.
These are on my list but to get no further tasks:
Albert@Home
boincsimap
climateprediction.net
Einstein@Home
SETI@home Beta Test
FreeHAL@home
GPUGRID
malariacontrol.net
World Community Grid
I didn't install CE ever since i waited till the account manager worked correctly for boinc. I am using the current Boinc client 7.0.28.
Thanks, Darknight. Two more questions --

Thanks for the info ~
Completely fresh machine.
It's now got Rosetta@home, Einstein@home, climateprediction.net, malariacontrol.net and Chariey Engine listed in the projects.
Thanks, Julia; happy computing ~
